Overcoming cynophobia – fear of dogs

Overcome fears at your own pace

We provide personalised, one-on-one sessions for children and adults to help them better understand and overcome their fear of dogs, also known as Cynophobia. These sessions are designed to be supportive, empathetic, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and experiences.

The process begins with open and guided conversations to explore the root causes of their fear and how it affects their daily life. From there, we use gradual, controlled exposure therapy to gently and safely introduce the person to dogs, helping them build confidence and reduce anxiety over time. Fergus, our specially trained therapy dog, plays a key role in this process. His calm and friendly demeanor creates a reassuring environment, making it easier for participants to feel at ease while interacting with him.

Our goal is to empower individuals to overcome their fear at their own pace, helping them gain a new sense of freedom and a more positive relationship with dogs. Whether the fear is mild or severe, we are here to support the journey toward greater comfort and understanding.
